ABOUT ICREATE SKILLS
The Olympics of Skills, iCreate Skills Competition is an annual Technical & Vocational Skill Competition, which promotes skill excellence, showcases skills standards and careers, demonstrates benchmarks of excellence in teaching and learning, and creates interest for public sector agencies, private organizations, and individuals to invest in skills development across the continent.
The iCreate Skill Competition will be touring across Nigeria’s geopolitical zones to promote technical skills.
We are hosting 3 regional technical skill competitions in Kaduna, Enugu and Lagos respectively which all serve as pre-qualifier for the “iCreate Skills” – National Competition in Abuja FCT in December 2019.
Eligible candidates are between 18 and 28 years of age and either undergraduates/graduates of a technical school or a practising artisan (self-employed or employed).
Interested candidates will apply online before undergoing a rigorous selection process by our skill experts.
The Competition will be facilitated in collaboration with the Nigerian Board of Technical Education (NBTE), the Industrial Training Fund (ITF), technical colleges, respective Chambers of Commerce and Industry as well as our chosen local and international partners.
The competition test projects showcase new technologies and best practices, designed to meet the skills demand of each region.

The iCreate Skill Fest 2018 was confirmed to be Africa’s biggest Technical and Vocational Skill Competition, hosted by iCreate Africa on 26th – 27th October 2018 at A Class Park, FCT Abuja, Nigeria.
The 2-days Skill Competition featured 84 competitors from West Africa competing in 14 skill categories i.e. Brick Laying, Plumbing, Carpentry, Tiling, Tailoring, Art, Hair Dressing, Barbing, Make-up, Website Design, App Development, Graphics Design, Robotics and Cooking. The skill excellence showcased across all skill sets was highly encouraging to fellow youth and employers who witnessed the competition.
The event also featured an industrial exhibition, panel discussions, career counselling and Social Impact Challenge. The glamorous Skill Awards night rounded up the program when emerging winners were celebrated and awarded with medals, cash prizes & tools.
It promotes policy debate and dialogue about increased involvement of industries in TVET, more sustainable TVET funding, discuss further reform steps, while strengthening collaborations between TVET experts, policy makers, educators and industry leaders.
Multinational and local manufacturers and service provider, technical schools, government agencies and our partners showcase their services and products to attract new customers and inspire interested youth to make an informed decision about future vocational prospects.
An interactive skill trial across the event venue allows the participants to try out unknown skills for hands-on experience.
CV reviews, mock interviews and best practices from recruitment and HR professionals give guests best tools for their career planning and connect unemployed skilled personnel with employers from reputable organizations.
One of the key objectives of iCreate Skills is to create a platform where skilled professionals, private sector executives and investors connect, network and collaborate in a fun and friendly environment.
