iCreate Africa to Host Virtual Skills Conference

ICreate Africa is pleased to announce that it is organizing a virtual skills conference on the 14th of July, 2020, by 12:00pm via Zoom to celebrate World Youths Skills Day.

With the COVID-19 pandemic, the conference aims at developing a resilient youth mindset and ensuring continual skills development since the worldwide closure of Technical and Vocational Education and Training institutions (TVET); Which has taken a 70% toll on the general skills development, as estimate by UNESCO.

Focusing on resilience, the conference will take stock of the impact of the COVID-19 crisis on skills development and explore strategies in response to the unfolding economic crisis.

The purpose of the conference is to shed more light on good practices from TVET institutions, the plight of the Youth, understand the impacts of the pandemic on the Private sector and guide them to how TVET can play a vital role in all of the chaos.

Participants will include Skilled Professionals, TVET institutions, the private sector, workers’ organizations, policymakers, and development partners.
